Karan is the Founder and MD of Hunch Ventures, a family office with a diverse portfolio in air mobility, fine arts, sustainable food supply chains & food security, ports & logistics, healthtech, F&B, media, and several enterprise SaaS platforms. Hunch lends operational expertise to several of its companies, and as the founding partner at Hunch, Karan plays an active role in the management of the fund and its investments.
Karan believes that integrity and doing the right thing now for the right reasons in any business always results in the right future for that business. He works closely with his entrepreneurs as partners, through his network and his experience across a variety of sectors. Many of his investments reflect the values he holds and the vision stemming from these values. Karan believes that the contours of any business are formed by the pioneers in that field and that by being the first mover in any new industry and driving the business will result in the alignment of all policy that governs that field. This joint venture between Hunch, Absolute, and Dalmia Capital, represents such a pioneering initiative.
Rudra was the Managing partner at Green Frontier Capital, India’s first-ever Climate Tech Fund. GFC invests in early-stage companies which are focused on delivering breakthrough innovation in Green Frontier industries such as electric mobility, foodtech, agtech, renewable energy, biofuels, waste management, clean water. etc.
Rudra is a corporate leader and investment professional with over 23 years’ experience in fintech, digital payments, ecommerce, venture investing, leadership of growth businesses, real estate and asset backed private equity, green technology investments, blockchain, technology businesses and investment banking. Prior to starting GFC, Rudra has successfully built and turned around high growth businesses across sectors like fintech & ecommerce. He was the Executive Director and CFO of Paytm Mall which was India’s third largest eCommerce company by volume at the time. He was the CEO and MD of Saxobank (India) for over 5 years (Asset Management, Fintech, Remittances, Macro Research). Prior to that he spent time on Wall Street, Technology and Private Equity in Europe for over 10 years. Rudra is an active angel investor in the US and India.
Rahul has 15 years of building products and solutions for India's emerging technology consumers. With an academic background in Industrial Psychology and Research, combined with managing high-availability technology platforms, and SaaS sales teams, Rahul is able to blend theory with practical user experiences necessary to scale platforms aimed for India's next billion technology consumers.
